Chef/Owner Gentry Morris, learned his trade in culinary school and over a decade of cooking at some of PDX’s best restaurants before mastering Ithaca's dining scene. Under his guide, our kitchen of talented cooks dish out reimagined comfort classics with roots around the world.

The Rook is a small neighborhood restaurant serving upscale comfort food and drinks with casual vibes. After 8 years of service, most folks who join us nightly are regulars in the truest sense. We’re proud to be a hub for locals, visitors and the college community in the heart of downtown. Join us at our new downtown location on the corner of Court and Cayuga.

THE DRINK.
Head Barman Manny Flores, learned his craft and hospitality during his years in NYC at the Waldorf Astoria, Gramercy Tavern and Bar Veloce during the peak of the cocktail resurgence. The bar focuses on fun, approachable beverages inspired by the classics. Our philosophy on beer and wine is steeped in a reverence for regional varietals and character.

The Rook's entrance is the middle CAYUGA STREET entrance of the Library Place building.
